Artwork Guide for Custom Printing

For the best print result, upload a high-resolution PNG, PDF, AI, SVG, PSD or JPG file. If your artwork is not ready, upload what you have and our team will check it before production.

Best File Types

  • PNG with transparent background
  • PDF
  • AI / SVG vector files
  • PSD layered artwork
  • High-resolution JPG when transparency is not required

Recommended Artwork Quality

Use high-resolution files, ideally 300 DPI. Large artwork is preferred. Avoid screenshots, blurry images, small logos or images saved from social media.

Transparent Background

For logos and designs, a transparent background usually gives the cleanest print result. A white background may print as a white box depending on the design and garment colour.

Printing on Dark Clothes

Artwork for black or dark garments may require white ink or a proper transparent background. If you are unsure, send us the file before ordering.

What file types can I upload?

You can upload PNG, PDF, AI, SVG, PSD or high-resolution JPG artwork. Transparent PNG, vector PDF, AI or SVG files usually give the cleanest print result.

What if my artwork is blurry or not print-ready?

Upload what you have or send it with your quote request. DIYPRINT checks the file and will contact you if the artwork needs fixing before production.

Do you send a proof before printing?

Yes. For custom orders, DIYPRINT sends a digital proof by email before production so you can confirm the artwork and placement.

Can you help remove a background or improve my logo?

Our team can help with simple artwork cleanup where possible. If a file needs major redraw work, we will review it and guide you before printing.

Can I pick up after the artwork is approved?

Pickup may be arranged from Melbourne or Perth after your order is proof-approved and confirmed as ready. Australia-wide delivery is also available.
